How this campaign handles your data

This page explains the personal data processed when you use the Empacto Hero Campaign microsite.

What we collect

We collect your name, email address, company, industry, the sustainability villain prompt you provide, and the selfie you upload or capture in the browser.

How we process your selfie

Your selfie is stored privately in S3, used as the reference image for Google Vertex AI image generation, and deleted immediately after a successful generation. The final generated image is stored separately for campaign sharing.

Third-party processors

We use Google Vertex AI for image generation, S3-compatible storage for private originals and public generated assets, and Resend for transactional email delivery.

Retention

Original selfies are deleted after successful generation. Generated campaign images may be retained for sharing. Lead context and submission records are retained in our database for campaign follow-up and operational support.

Public sharing

When generation succeeds, we create a public share page that is crawlable for Open Graph previews but marked noindex. That page shows your first name and generated image only, unless future versions explicitly expand that behavior.
